MEET HUDA’S FAMILY.
Refugees face the unimaginable reality of a broken world and the depth of its depravity. This is the story of one family from Iraq. "Z" and "Huda" have three children. They fled Iraq for the first time to Syria in 2006, immediately after "Z" was threatened the first time.
"Z" was targeted after running to a friend who was shot in the street. The attackers saw him trying to assist and then targeted him next. His friend died, and he fled the scene, but this group started making death threats to him two days later.
$3000 is needed to assist them the first 90 days.

They lived for three years in Syria till they heard that things in Iraq were getting safer.
"Huda" shares,
"My mother-in-law was very sick. We returned to Iraq, hoping everything was fine after returning to Iraq for a while. The threats returned to my husband in 2013, and they kidnapped my son, who was three years old."
They notified authorities, who were able to come close to chasing down the kidnapper. The kidnapper left their son in a field and fled after seeing he was going to be caught.
It was too much. In 2013, they then sought safety again. This time in Lebanon, where they live now, waiting for the phone call saying they could travel to the US legally as refugees.
Life is not easy in Lebanon, as there are over a million refugees in a country of 4.5 million people. They are often discriminated against and oppressed.
Huda shares,
"My husband works as a men's barber. My eldest son is in 10th grade, my middle son is in ninth grade, and my little son is in sixth grade.''
Fear has plagued them for years. Now, in Lebanon, the same violence is ever present as they fled their rented home in Beirut due to the recent bombings.
Hope Tribe has already assisted them with last month's rent, food, and medicine. We hope to hear that we will greet them in Texas soon. We are raising $3000 to come alongside them upon their arrival.
