MEET EMMA’S FAMILY.
She spent ten long years as a refugee in another country—struggling to survive, waiting and hoping for a chance to rebuild.
Four months ago, that chance finally came. She arrived in the U.S. with her teenage son and three-year-old daughter, carrying the weight of a decade of hardship but holding onto hope.
GOAL: $5000 to assist her to buy a car so she doesn’t have to walk to work.

As a single mother, she’s doing everything she can to provide for her children. She works part-time, walking to and from her job each day. In August, when her daughter begins preschool, she’ll be able to work full-time. But with no vehicle, her options remain limited, and the daily burden is heavy.
Recent government cuts to refugee assistance have left her without the support she depended on. Still, she’s saving diligently for a car—just something simple and reliable.
We want to meet her halfway.
