THIS IS SANJIN’S STORY

Sanjin fled Afghanistan in 2021 during the mass evacuation that caught the world's attention. He served alongside large international NGOs for years, helping to alleviate poverty among his people and advocating for human rights. He and his family were, therefore, a target.

WE CAME AROUND SANJIN.

Upon meeting him in the US, Hope Tribe provided furniture and household items for him and his housemates from Afghanistan. We connected him to an experienced immigration lawyer, raising the funds needed to guide him through the asylum application process, applying for his green card, and filling out all of the paperwork for family reunification. We also funded the plane tickets so that his family could join him safely here in the US after almost three years of separation.

HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENED IN HIS LIFE.

Sanjin is now living safely in an apartment with his wife and two boys. He works six days a week and often translates for us when needed. Each day, they are rebuilding their lives and have a brighter future.
