THIS IS YUSUF’S STORY

Yusuf is the oldest in a family living in Lebanon. His mother, sister, nephew, and niece live together in a one-bedroom apartment. The economy was already strained before the massive explosion in the city of Beirut in August 2020. Food has been hard to come by and work even harder, but the family prays on a daily basis for God to provide.

WE CAME AROUND YUSUF.

Our team learned about Yusuf’s needs through connecting with one of his younger brothers who lives here in the US. As our relationship with Yusuf’s brother grew, we mobilized a Hope Tribe to assist Yusuf and his family in Beirut. Together, we raised a monthly stipend to assist with the family’s food shortage and basic utilities for 6 months. The period following the explosion was a difficult time for everyone living in Beirut, but through one personal connection, we were able to help an extended family halfway across the world as they struggled to survive.

HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENED IN HIS LIFE.

As we’ve supported Yusuf’s brother here in the US, he has been empowered to take on the responsibility of sending money to Yusuf and the family. The heart of our mission at Hope Tribe is to take the heavy problems facing refugees across the world and zoom in – to look for ways to serve the people in front of us, and help individuals reach a sustainable place in their lives. From that first step, we can watch that support multiply into entire families and communities. Thanks to the people like you who came around Yusuf, he has now found work in Beirut and has an active role in supporting his family.

Yusuf’s family still faces challenges, but they know they are not alone. The family’s Hope Tribe provided the initial support needed in the hard months to assist with the food and utilities cost they needed.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for and donated to help Yusuf and his family during this difficult time.
